About Mrs. Nadia Uhall, High School Counselor

Following Beth-Center HS graduation, I attended California University of PA where I earned my Bachelor's Degree (2004) and Master's Degree (2007).  My certifications include K-6 Elementary Education, Elementary/Secondary School Counseling, English 7-9, Social Studies 7-9, and Business/Computer Information Technology K-12.  In 2005, I began working at California Area School District as a day-to-day substitute teacher, and from 2006-2008, I worked as a long-term substitute at California Area High School as the Computer Instructor.  In 2008, I was hired at CAHS as the Honors/English 9/Media Instructor, and I maintained this position for nine years.  At the start of the 2017 school year, I began working as the California High School Counselor.  This work has been a blessing because it allows me to work individually with all high school students as well as in the classroom setting to facilitate students' academic, social, and emotional needs.  Knowing each student by name and connecting with each student to assist in his/her development are priorities for me as the high school counselor.

Outside of school, I work as a real estate agent and own a house flipping business with my husband.  We also enjoy motorcycle riding, spending time in the mountains, playing in our church band, and spoiling our two fur babies, Mia and Macy.

On a final note...
To students and parents - It is our goal in high school guidance services to prepare our students in grades 9-12 by identifying all students' skills and abilities, nurturing their educational and personal growth, and connecting them with post-high school opportunities so that all students can be contributing members of society and thus experience success.
